Online Therapy for Anxiety and High-Pressure Lifestyles in Virginia
In Northern Virginia and throughout the state, many people are navigating high-pressure careers, often in government, law, or fast-paced professional environments, while managing significant internal stress. If you find yourself overthinking, staying “on” all the time, or struggling to fully relax, therapy can help you reset.
I work with adults who are used to being capable and composed on the outside but feel anxious or mentally exhausted beneath the surface. Our work focuses on helping you move out of chronic overthinking, regulate anxiety, and feel more calm and confident in your daily life.
I also support women navigating transitions in career, identity, and family that can bring up uncertainty and internal pressure. Together, we build resilience and a stronger, more grounded sense of self.
Areas of Focus
• Anxiety, chronic worry, or racing thoughts
• Depression, low mood, or emotional numbness
• Trauma or unresolved past experiences
• Overthinking, self-doubt, or self-criticism
• Burnout, stress, or emotional overwhelm
• Difficulty trusting yourself or your decisions
How I Work
Therapy with me is conversational, compassionate, and practical. I create a warm, non-judgmental space where you can explore what’s happening internally while gaining tools to apply in daily life.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT helps you identify and change unhelpful thought patterns, beliefs, and behaviors that contribute to anxiety, depression, and emotional distress.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is for people who want to work through past experiences that still affect them today. EMDR is a trauma-informed approach that helps you process memories safely and at your own pace.
Mindfulness-Based Approaches
Mindfulness practices help you notice your thoughts, emotions, and physical feelings without judgment. These skills can reduce reactivity, ease stress, and support a greater sense of calm and presence in daily life.
★ You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many people seek support because they feel “stuck,” mentally exhausted, or disconnected from themselves despite functioning well on the outside.
Therapy Can Help You:
• Understand and interrupt unhelpful thought cycles
• Reduce anxiety and emotional overwhelm
• Make sense of past experiences that still affect you
• Develop healthier coping strategies
• Strengthen self-understanding and emotional resilience
• Move forward with greater clarity and self-trust
★ Progress is not about perfection. It’s about creating meaningful, sustainable change over time.
