Online Therapy for Anxiety and Overthinking in Connecticut

Connecticut carries a kind of pressure that often goes unspoken. From Fairfield County to Hartford, New Haven, and beyond, many people are managing demanding roles and high expectations at work and at home. Things can look completely stable on the outside while feeling quietly exhausting on the inside.

I work with adults who are used to keeping it together while carrying more than most people realize. A meaningful part of my practice includes working with women navigating that experience. I also support people navigating the emotional and behavioral side of weight, health, and lifestyle change, including those working alongside a medical or bariatric team.

Areas of Focus

• Anxiety, chronic worry, or racing thoughts

• Depression, low mood, or emotional numbness

• Trauma or unresolved past experiences

• Overthinking, self-doubt, or self-criticism

• Burnout, stress, or emotional overwhelm

• Difficulty trusting yourself or your decisions

• Weight, health, and lifestyle change

• Menopause, aging, and shifting sense of identity

How I Work

Therapy with me is conversational and practical. We'll work through what's been difficult, and you'll leave each session with something you can actually use.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT helps you identify and change unhelpful thought patterns, beliefs, and behaviors that contribute to anxiety, depression, and emotional distress.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is for people who want to work through past experiences that still affect them today. This trauma-informed approach helps you process memories safely and at your own pace..

Mindfulness-Based Approaches

Mindfulness practices help you notice your thoughts, emotions, and physical feelings without judgment. These skills can reduce reactivity, ease stress, and support a greater sense of calm and presence in daily life.

★ You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many people seek support because they feel “stuck,” mentally exhausted, or disconnected from themselves despite functioning well on the outside.

Therapy Can Help You:

• Understand and interrupt unhelpful thought cycles

• Reduce anxiety and emotional overwhelm

• Make sense of past experiences that still affect you

• Develop healthier coping strategies

• Strengthen self-understanding and emotional resilience

• Move forward with greater clarity and self-trust

• Work toward realistic, sustainable lifestyle and behavior change

★ Progress is not about perfection. It’s about creating meaningful, sustainable change over time.
